Operation Hours — Our shipping department operates Monday thru Friday, 12-6 PM. Orders are usually processed and shipped within 1 business day of order submission.
Same-Day, Local Delivery — Your order may be eligible for same-day, local delivery. Please call to confirm. This service is available ALL days of the week.
Warm Weather Hold — Please select the appropriate shipping mode for your delivery destination and weather. Orders submitted in the later half of the business week may be held at our discretion for shipping out the following Monday. If you require order arrival before the weekend, please order ahead of time and select Express shipping. Scroll down to SHIPPING & HOLDS IN WARM WEATHER -> Shipping with FedEx Express for more info.
Holiday Lead Time — Please note that processing times may increase in the weeks leading up to major holidays, so please order in advance and account for extra shipping and handling time.
Customer Requested Holds — To defer your order to a future delivery date (date of order arrival), please indicate your preference in the Comment section during checkout, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
FedEx Shipping Conditions
FedEx Home Delivery (Ground)
FedEx indicates this mode yields an estimated delivery within 1-5 business days of ship date.
Please be mindful when shipping to warm destinations and opt for an express shipping mode instead. Orders being shipped with FedEx Home to warm destinations are subject to be held for delivery until the following Monday. This is in order to avoid chocolates being stored in potentially warm FedEx facilities over the weekend. FedEx Express (Air) Shipping Modes
FedEx 2-Day — Our default recommended shipping mode is FedEx 2-Day Express. FedEx indicates this mode yields an estimated delivery within 2 business days of ship date.
FedEx Standard Overnight — FedEx indicates this mode yields an estimated delivery within 1 business day of ship date.
FedEx Priority Overnight — This is our recommended shipping mode for orders being delivered to destinations with temperatures above 80°F. FedEx indicates this mode yields an estimated delivery within 1 business day of ship date, by 12:00 PM to most neighborhoods.
Saturday Priority Overnight — Regular FedEx Express services indicated above operate Monday-Friday. Saturday express delivery service is available only with FedEx Priority Overnight. FedEx charges an extra $8.00 for Saturday service. If you require Saturday Priority Overnight service, please indicate your preference in the Comment section during check out. You must also add the FedEx Saturday Service charge item to your cart, and select Priority Overnight shipping at checkout. Order must be submitted before Friday 5 P.M.
IMPORTANT: Please note Fed-Ex's delivery mode nomenclature (e.g., 2-Day or Overnight) are NOT guarantees. They are estimates; they represent the more direct shipping logistics channel the order package will be routed through.

Delays — Please note that inclement weather along FedEx routes and routing sites, as well as on-going FedEx-wide staffing shortage may prolong estimated delivery times. Teuscher Chocolates is NOT responsible for FedEx shipping delays.

SHIPPING & HOLDS IN WARM WEATHER
Ice & Insulation (FREE ON EXPRESS SHIPMENTS)
Complimentary, white-glove cold packing service is offered for all Express (air) shipping modes. All home (ground) shipping will incur a $5 extra charge for ice and insulation. We are known for providing outstanding attention to detail when it comes to shipping our delicious chocolates in warm weather, with extremely high success. However, we cannot guarantee against melting due to shipping delays or failure to bring chocolate inside in a timely manner.
Shipping with FedEx Home (Ground)
FedEx Home service operates Monday-Friday. In order to ensure freshness of chocolates, we try to avoid shipping over weekends during warm seasons.
Local Order — Orders with Home delivery submitted after Thursday may be subject to being held for shipping out the following Monday.
Non-Local Order — Orders with Home delivery submitted after Wednesday may be subject to being held for shipping out the following Monday. We highly recommend selecting Express shipping for your order.
Shipping with FedEx Express (Air)
When temperatures above 80°F are present at the delivery location (shipping address), please choose the Priority Overnight option to ensure safe delivery of the chocolates before 12:00 PM to most locales.
Regular FedEx Express services operate Monday-Friday. Therefore, during warm weathers, to prevent orders from sitting in transit over the weekend, we reserve the right to hold delivery for the following Monday. This applies to any 2-Day orders submitted after Wednesday 3:00 PM EST or Overnight orders submitted after Thursday 3:00 PM EST.
It is the customer's responsibility to select Express shipping at checkout to minimize the time chocolates are in transit through warm weather. Teuscher Chocolates is NOT responsible for any melting due to shipping delays. Teuscher Chocolates is NOT responsible for melting due to recipient's failure to retrieve package in a timely manner upon delivery.
Accuracy & Completeness — Please ensure that you provide us with a correct and complete delivery address. Teuscher chocolates is NOT responsible for lost, undelivered or delayed orders resulting from incorrect or incomplete address information.
Delivery Instructions — While we will pass on any delivery instructions you may have to FedEx, we do not guarantee FedEx's or their driver's ability to fulfill special requests.
P.O. Box Restriction — Orders are shipped via FedEx, therefore we cannot ship to PO Boxes.
Order Tracking & Receiving
Tracking — You will receive FedEx tracking details to the email provided at checkout. Tracking details will be available by the end of the day in which your order was processed and picked up by FedEx.
Gift Order — If this is a gift delivery, we suggest sharing the tracking details with your recipient or notifying them of order arrival. Tracking details do not contain any invoice information, such as order price.
Retrieval — It is the customer/recipient's responsibility to track order and arrange to have chocolates brought indoors upon delivery in a timely manner. If the customer does not contact us within 6 hours of FedEx's published time of delivery, with a photo of items in question, the customer waives all rights to any form of remediation.
Signature Release — Our packages are shipped 'Signature Released', which allows FedEx to deliver packages without a signature. We found that this works best for the majority of our customers, and is what most prefer by default. This mitigates the chance of chocolates being sent back to FedEx holding facilities, where they would be held overnight in non-temperature controlled storage. If you require signature or are delivering to a high-traffic address that would benefit from extra security measures, please indicate your preference in the Comments section of the Checkout page. By agreeing to these Shipping Terms & Conditions, you are agreeing to have your order shipped with Signature Release.
Cancellation, Return & Exchange Policy
Cancellations — Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled or returned. Please be aware that cancellations on custom orders will incur a 15% restocking fee.
Returns — In accordance to federal and state health code regulations, we do not accept returns. All chocolates are individually selected and inspected on the day of packing and shipment, ensuring quality and freshness of chocolates upon shipment. We are not liable for damage incurred after order as left our facility. Therefore, please ensure you select the appropriate shipping mode and chocolates are retrieved by the recipient in a timely manner upon delivery.
Exchanges — In accordance to federal and state health code regulations, we do not accept exchanges.
Customs and import duties may be applied to International orders when the shipment reaches its destination. Such charges are the responsibility of the recipient of your order and vary from country to country. Contact your local customs office for details.
Shipping laws are different in each country. It is your responsibility to check with your Customs office to verify whether the country to which you are shipping permits the shipment of your products. Teuscher Chocolates is not responsible for any direct, indirect, punitive, or consequential damages that arise from improper international shipping practices.
